The 2018 Symposium on Computational Statistical Mechanics for Complicated Systems is hosted by the International Center for Chemical Theory (ICCT) and the School of Chemistry and Materials Science, Hefei National Laboratory for Physical Sciences at the Microscale, University of Science and Technology of China. It will be held on December 7-10, 2018 in Hefei, China. The Science and Technology Exhibition Hall of the Physics and Chemistry Building of the University of Science and Technology was held.

In order to promote the exchange and cooperation between domestic and foreign counterparts in the research field of Computational Statistical Mechanics of Complex Systems and promote scientific development, in 2012, the Hefei National Laboratory of Microscale Physical Sciences (in preparation) hosted the conference for the first time. Since 2012, it has been successfully held for seven sessions. Since then, the Computational Statistical Mechanics of Complex System seminar has become a series of conferences in this discipline, which is hosted by different universities or research institutes every year. Since 2012, the conference has become a platform for exchanges and cooperation between experts and scholars in the field of Complex system computational statistical mechanics at home and abroad, which has greatly promoted the development of thesubject.
